Consecration of spring

Jacket, CZK 82 200,
dress, CZK 91 980, shoes, CZK 9120, all Dior
for women draws heavily on the past. Some styles would suit an
old English school, while others sport prewar lace or capture
the laid-back hippy atmosphere of the '70s.
THE POWER OF inspirational sources doesn't fade away, and favorite
retro influences allow us to escape from contemporary constraints.
Whether it's a question of exquisite elegance, tender beauty, or
rustic charm, a modern, markedly feminine appearance always asserts
The latest inspiration for spring patterns is vegetation in all
forms - from romantically floral through eccentric, stylized flowers,
to a tropical jungle with colorful fauna. Beside these, cheerful
stripes or monocolor pastel surfaces glow. Romance is represented
by tender, powdery colors, and is rich in decorated details - laces,
ties, and underwear elements - and materials predominated by airy
chiffons and voiles, but also cotton batiste or heavier satin.
If you want to be a true romantic, accessorize with long pearl
necklaces or perhaps gold or silver sandals...but just to be sure,
combine ornate tops with simple jeans or Bermuda shorts.
Casual and sporty fashions bring inspiration from the very beginning
of the sporting era, the interwar years from 1920 to 1940, when
style and elegance were everything. This neoclassic is reminiscent
of a British college. In summer, yachting motifs of the '50s and
'60s are added. Here too the return to nature is symbolized by
fresh, optimistic colors - from fine, natural, heavenly blue, sand,
or bamboo pastels to a basket full of colorful fruits. Combining
them with neutral elements in white, gray, or khaki is effective.
The opposite of "weekend" style is expensive, luxurious
glamor, which shows off the sheen and sparkle of expensive materials
and many prints often inspired by patterns of wild predators and
reptiles, supplemented by rhinestone decorations. While elegant
style, which is a bit tangential to "hot" spring trends
is very refined, moderate, and expensive in cut and materials,
the trend group called ethno is richly varied. It includes not
only European folk art motifs, but also Oriental and Asian themes.
It all goes hand in hand with a great return of hippy fashion that
shouts out independence and fantasy. Marked, ethnically inspired
prints, embroidery, and much decorative stage jewelry are its hallmark.
